Re: DSM5: the more disorders there are, the more drugs can be sold.

Here in Boston, where the whole economy is driven by education and health care, you can get a degree in "medical coding and billing". Capitalism and I are getting ever ruder and cruder in our old age, alas.

That must be part of it. I think it's also about getting each little group's specific research interest into print so they can get more grant money.

California has certifications, if not degrees, in medical coding and billing too.
