Music rediscovery of the day

I'm embarked on a project of digitizing my cassette tapes, and this evening I was listening to a tape labeled simply "Jill Kroesen." After some snooping on Google I discovered that the tape contained what appear to be her only recordings, a single entitled "I Really Wanna Bomb You," which was released in 1980, and an album called "Stop Vicious Cycles," which was released in 1982.

She has a twisted voice and her songs have lyrics that are alternately (and sometimes simultaneously) vicious and poignant. How can you not like an artist who has a song entitled "I'm Sorry I'm Such a Weenie"?

Still, it's sad that so much of her political commentary is more relevant than ever.
