It's hot here and I am a [personal profile] firecat of Very Little Brain. Under the cut are some photos of me sporting various newly acquired eyewear. Pretend you're reading the Hammacher Schlemmer catalog.

The Expensive Trifocals That Don't Work as Computer Glasses Because the Middle Distance Part Is Too Small. Also, The Tweety Bird Wearing Glasses Bandanna.

For a second I thought "tweety bird wearing glasses bandanna" meant "the bandanna with tweety bird on that I wear when wearing glasses" and thought "That's a very specific bandanna" :)

Cute! and annoying about the trifocals.

The top picture is absolutely awesome - you look happy and amused, and the glasses suit you well. The middle picture is not such a good picture of you as a human because of the attack of MONITOR BRIGHTNESS that is making you look like a science fiction light-emitting glowy creature. Although maybe it would be a good picture if you wanted to be luminous.

I like the Even More Dorky Not Very Steampunk Goggles. What are they intended for? Swimming?

Love the steampunk goggles - where'd you get them?

Hey, I just bought Multifocal, Computer and Driving Glasses. Yes, THREE pairs of glasses for these aging eyes.
Because the Multifocal don't work for computers at all, same complaint as you, and they are only tolerable for driving. And since my old single focus lenses worked just fine for driving, I thought it would be better to have that again.
Those are some serious goggles. I just got glam Steampunk ones. Though I'm also thinking of getting a pair from the Foglios. They are fun, glam ones again though.

I love my multifocal toric contact lenses. I can see near, far, and in-between and NO GLASSES!

(I get confused with multiple pairs of glasses, and have been known to leave the house in my computer glasses.)

I love the way the trifocals look on you. The goggles are freaky, because you can't see your eyes and they're all glowy! :)

Yeah, I know what you mean about the zone not being big enough for computer work - mine seems to be okay since I work with a laptop literally on my lap, but Dan's progressives are useless for computer work, we're going to have to have them remade.

I got a pair of single-vision driving glasses, too, complete with Progressive lenses. Of course, Progressive basic lenses *don't work* in cars, because they use UV rays to know when to change. Bah!

Your goggles are way cool!

Awww! Funny how we collect all these little things we need to carry around with us like glasses and such. Must be prepared for steampunk at any time! :-)

that last one literally made me laugh out loud. P.S LOVE the Tweety bird do-rag haha. I'd love to see a gangster sport THAT one in the "hood" lol
