Because the Multifocal don't work for computers at all, same complaint as you, and they are only tolerable for driving. And since my old single focus lenses worked just fine for driving, I thought it would be better to have that again.
Those are some serious goggles. I just got glam Steampunk ones. Though I'm also thinking of getting a pair from the Foglios. They are fun, glam ones again though.

I got a pair of single-vision driving glasses, too, complete with Progressive lenses. Of course, Progressive basic lenses *don't work* in cars, because they use UV rays to know when to change. Bah!
