Nowadays most cruise lines automatically add a 10% tip to your onboard account, but you can choose to have it removed and pay cash tips individually. Some folks on CruiseCritic.com think that you should give cash tips to some staff on top of the 10%. We did that sometimes.

We didn't see anyone ordering multiple dinners, and most of the portions were smallish.
