Or! To be lust-objects for James "Horndog" Kirk! The running gag had his head whipping around anytime a cute female walked by. The joke was on him though, because he didn't actually get any (onscreen).

Karl Urban was so wonderful as McCoy I about cried. And seven-year-old Spock was freaking adorable.

This movie passes the Bechdel Rule, you realize. Juuuust barely. Uhura exchanges two lines with her roommate about her job. THEN they talk about a man.

Also I looked up "rear window captioning" -- way cool, I didn't know that existed!
