Kitty update 2

The ultrasound was scheduled for Monday, so she is home for the weekend. She is better hydrated, eating some, still acting quite weak and creaky and slow, and enjoying attention from us but still preferring to stay upstairs rather than downstairs where we spend most of our time. (I think upstairs is warmer, but the OH says not at night.) We have instructions to encourage her to eat and drink. thanks for all your vibes, expressed or not

give the baby a scritch for me and keep us posted, I hope it's nothing more than a case of really bad hairball syndrome. Is she long haired? We have a longhair that goes off her feed and water when she's really bound up inside, so we have to do the petromalt routine faithfully. She hates the stuff so we have to smear it on her feet and put her in a seperate room otherwise she will get one of the dogs or the other cats to clean it off her.

Most cats seem to like petromalt. Is selkie the one in your pic? I love marmalades..I have a marmalade and cream named Pyewacket, he's a little over a year and spoiled rotten, a real lovie type.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for Selkie and think of her in my meditations, and you as well. It's really hard when one of the babies is sick. If it is just a matter of altering diet, Watkins products used to put out something called beef iron and wine tonic or something like that. I have had bouts of anemia and my doctor recommended it, tastes kind of funky but works really well, and my animals loved the smell of it anyway, were always begging for a taste.
