That kept going through my mind while I was watching the Ibizan Hound, which won the Hound category at the AKC Westminster dog show last week. I finally figured out what braincells were getting triggered.
well, i'm not sure what the thing is that you're comparing the dog to, so i'm out of that loop...but wasn't the best in show category great? such great dogs, and every time i saw the pekignese, i had to chuckle...it looked so cute, but kind of like a dust mop. (especially out there with all of the big dogs)
i've never seen a kerry blue terrier in person, but they seem like *such* personable dogs...with such large personalities...and they just look >neat< all trimmed up like that one was. :)
no rottweilers in best of show...oh well...i know why...cuz mine are here at home...we just couldn't make it to the show...couldn't be bothered to get them off of *their* couch. heh.
We get a lot of rotties at the animal shelter I volunteer for. They are usually really nice dogs, although their stubbornness can be a bit of a problem given that I generally only have an hour to complete all their training! ;-)
SPLORF indeed, now I have ginseng soda to wipe off the monitor. Thats too funny....there is an LJ called Metaquotes and it's where we repost, or link to with permission, to some of the funniest, smartest, brightest things on lj...the kind of things that when you read you go "squee! That's hysterical!" Do you mind if I share this link with the metaquotes folks? They are pretty cool people. If not that's okay, I might be able to recreate it annonymously, just describe the pictures and leave your name...just won't have the same punch, that's all. :)

I think the Pekingese looks and moves like a hairy footstool on little wheels.
I was glad the Kerry Blue Terrier won. When I was a kid, we had one.
