2nd milestone for a fan of very little name
I'm feeling discouraged about my fanfic at the moment (the treat I'm writing for Heart Attack Exchange has been giving me trouble, and a couple of my recent exchange fics have received less feedback than I wanted), but I hit this little milestone today and I'm using it to try to cheer myself up.
One of my fics (Aftermath, A/B/O, explicit) has received 200 kudos, in 5 months and change. (It also has 52 bookmarks.)
Nine more of my fics have over 100 kudos.
Record for a fic accumulating 100 kudos: 16 days (Josta Break, (Loki TV, Loki/Mobius, explicit) received its 100th kudos within 16 days of posting. (It now has 128 kudos and 21 bookmarks.)
The other eight, ranked by number of kudos. You may notice repeating fandoms. I've written in 75 fandoms overall but only four of them are here (counting all the MCU as one).
Silver-tongued Devil (Lucifer (TV)) Kudos: 132 Bookmarks: 21
Hand and Glove (Thor, MCU), Kudos: 131 Bookmarks: 26
The Prize-Winner (Marvel Comics, MCU) Kudos: 104 Bookmarks: 20
Mission Accomplished (Lucifer (TV), The Avengers, MCU), Kudos: 118 Bookmarks: 15
Command Performance (Star Trek: TOS) Kudos: 116, Bookmarks: 26
Recompense (Original Work), Kudos: 108 Bookmarks: 28
Transported (Star Trek: TOS) Kudos: 105 Bookmarks: 19
Carnivora (Thor, MCU) Kudos: 101 Bookmarks: 16

I've also learned that it's very probable that for every person who leaves any kind of feedback there are a great many more (possibly this is different in fandom, where providing feedback is a custom and expectation, but I bet there are some more, anyway) who never said a word at the time but had a profound experience, often of being rescued, whether from a bad day or a bad year. It's hard to predict what aspect of the writing even produces these reactions, because people are so individual. But if people are reading your work, some of them are being profoundly affected by it, whether because of enormous enjoyment or because of really life-changing reactions.
This all sounds very pompous, I'm afraid. But if you're being read at all, amazing things are happening in some of your readers.

I’ve encountered this as a result of creating the fatfriendlydocs.com web site — Sometimes a person will show up out of the blue and say it really helped them. I love those moments of connection and knowing I’ve made a little mark on the world.
I know some folks have really enjoyed my fic too, and I’m really glad for that.

I'm glad you're getting good feedback from the fatfriendlydocs.com site. It's really an amazing feeling to hear one's writing has helped someone.
I think sometimes pleasure and enjoyment are under-rated, too. It's a very large thing, really, to cause that reaction in a reader.
