TIL about a new Leaphorn & Chee TV series

How is it I only just now found out that AMC has adapted Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn and Chee books (2 seasons so far, renewed for a third)?

SERIOUSLY, usually it's like "Hulu, no, Apple TV, don't have that, Paramount, nope, AMC, no, Showtime, are you kidding me...." We actually got sucked back into Netflix because I wanted to support Sandman. I was nearly free of at least one of them!

LOL I'm stuck with Netflix as long as they have Lucifer. I bought DVD sets of Ironside and The Mod Squad because no streaming services had them! And I was about to get one of Columbo, but now Tubi has it.

I liked it a lot. The atmosphere, the scenery, the general air, mood, and flavor of the books, particularly the first few books, seemed very right to me. The casting is really good. I don't approve of all their narrative choices, but I never do when a book is being adapted to another medium.
