TIL about a new Leaphorn & Chee TV series

How is it I only just now found out that AMC has adapted Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn and Chee books (2 seasons so far, renewed for a third)?

I liked it a lot. The atmosphere, the scenery, the general air, mood, and flavor of the books, particularly the first few books, seemed very right to me. The casting is really good. I don't approve of all their narrative choices, but I never do when a book is being adapted to another medium.
