Shadow me.
Creep behind recording every thought and movement.
Sleep with me; bask in my dreams.
Take note my fears and hopes, the taste of custard on my tongue.
Don't forget that the scent of a rose reminds me of Granny,
or the way that Chopin makes me want to ride a horse.
Stay behind when I am gone:
a shadow's proof of my solidity, my existence in the sun.
