firecat's take on the "ask me questions" meme

Y'all are free to ask me questions about my life any time, including by commenting on this post. I'm likely to answer such questions, or at least decline to answer politely.

But actually I think a lot of folks know more about my life than my opinions. I tend to keep quiet about my opinions for three reasons: (1) They are the same as other people's, and so I think repeating them would be boring; (2) They are different from other people's, and so I think stating them would cause irritation or offense; (3) I have no informed opinion, and so I think stating my vague thoughts would sound stupid.

So what I really would like out of this question meme is an excuse to rant or blather about things. If you feel like suggesting a topic for me to rant or blather about, please comment here. (I'll put the rants/blathers in separate entries.)

I feel like I know little about your life and opinions.

What is your opinion on giving men an option to disclaim their rights and obligations to a fetus before birth, a kind of abortion of legal relationship? Any other thoughts on reproductive responsibility?

How do you feel about Lush? If you use it, what are your favorites?

Should I keep trying with my plants, or resign myself to theft?

What does bisexual mean to you, and how do I figure out if I am bisexual? (Not necessarily me specifically, that is.)

I suppose it isn't helpful to say that I love to hear you rant on any topic whatsoever and have never heard you blather, huh?

I can think of one really controversial suggestion and I'm not sure it's a good idea. So I'll pick one where I don't know what you think: Let's hear your opinions on cohousing and other forms of intentional community.

Oh I can definitely relate ...
