calling SF Bay Area dog lovers - June 4

A new dog park is opening in San Mateo on June 4, and I'll be attending a Peninsula Humane Society mobile adoption from 11am to 2pm. Come with your dog, and / or come to check out our dogs if you have room in your life for more dogs. :-)

Here are directions:

Take 3rd Ave east (towards the bay) Stay on it as it curves around and
turns into J Hart Clinton Dr. They won't be allowing left hand turns
into Seal Pt. Park, so go up to Anchor Rd, and make a u-turn. Seal Point
will now be on your right and you can park in that parking lot. The PHS
van will be situated right by the dog park.

I am severely allergic and won't be there. However, I want to cheer from the sidelines. I used to love going to the Fort Funston dog park and watching all the dogs play with each other (I presume it's still closed now). I am so much in favor of dog parks. And I'm in favor of pet adoptions. So yay! And I think all your work with the humane society is awesome.

It's been a while since I've been to Fort Funston; I doubt they are letting dogs in because of how delicate the ecosystem is there. There's a dog park in the Mission though, and dogs still run on Ocean Beach even though technically they are not allowed.
