A kitchen garden that might withstand my mighty black thumb

It reminds you to add water and nutrients, and plants come in little "pre-seeded pods".

Of course, I could buy a LOT of conventional gardening supplies for $150.

I want, so badly, a couple of these (http://www.hammacher.com/publish/67403.asp), but they are *so* not in the budget! :)

*looks longingly some more*

*sighs*

*sighs again*

I've wanted those ever since I first saw them, too! But... that black thumb...

I just can't rationalize spending that kind of money. But, oh, they are so cool! :)

I think I might actually have to buy one of these. They just look so cool. I already have two raise and on wheels redwood planters (2' x 6') but these HANG UPSIDE DOWN!!!

You can buy supplies to make your own for a lot cheaper.

Yeah, but this is *science*!

glad to know that I'm not the only one with a 'black thumb'. The only thing I seem to be able to keep alive with any regularity are Cacti.

Is this like "I could be sensible and spend $150 on things that won't help me keep plants alive but look sensible, or I could be frivolous and spend $150 on things that might well help me keep plants alive but won't look sensible until I've proved they work"?
