Yeah! Kind of embarrassing because I drove all the way to the other end of the city to take her to a favorite restaurant, and it wasn't open, so we ended up at a so-so restaurant nearby. But we had lots of good conversation to make up for it.

I'm sure that she appreciated the effort even if the restaurant wasn't open. :) I'm glad that it was fun! I used to be pretty intimidated by bcholmes, so even though I like her lots, it made socializing with her less positive for me than it might have been. I've had some opportunities to socialize with her since then, and I think I'm finally getting over that, which has let me enjoy her company much more. She's a good person.

Play with yarn! I started a project from the "One Skein" book last night, when my brain was full of doing math homework.

I found my lace project (Knitty's Branching Out) but didn't have the energy to start that.

HOw do you like"One Skein"? (Sorry if I already asked you this.)

I like it a lot. She cheats--I don't count a skein of laceweight the same as a 50-gram skein of mohair. But right away there were at least 3 patterns I wanted to jump up and make.

I'm making a felted small purse. The next thing I want to make is the knitted cupcakes.
