I have a shoulder bag with a Swiss Army logo on it. It was a gift. I'm trying to find an exact replacement because although I don't think bags should start falling apart after 2 years of use, it's quite a handy size.

google checkout has 5,176 results for "swiss army bag"
ebags.com has 184 Victorinox products. None of them is the right one.
swissarmy.com has 11 categories of bag. None of them contains this bag.

Ouch, I share your pain. For some years now I've been wanting to replace some flat "Jesus" sandals with simple straps and buckles and all there's been in the shops has been velcro, which when you have broad feet like mine looks awful as it doesn't close fully. I blame fashion. Maybe that's a subset of capitalism. ;-)

In the end it's kind of hard to figure out what to blame for there being thousands of products that aren't quite right and none that is. But whatever it is, I hate it!

Thanks! Turns out the bag is in fact a Wenger/SwissGear, but I can't find it using that search or variants either. Based on its starting to fall apart so fast, I'll agree with j about the corrupt second edition.

I don't know if you're looking for alternatives, but cynthia1960 and I are happy with Tom Bihm's bags. I've had one of his backpacks for four years and it shows no signs of giving out.
