What does it say about me that I read through that list of names and thought "N.K. Jemisin, I've read her on LJ/DW, Amal El-Mohtar sounds familiar, Shweta Narayan, another LJ/DWer, Mike Allen - oh some interchangeable white guy, I guess they needed one of those".

I have no idea about Mike Allen's race either, which is part of why it amuses me how my brain went "interchangeable white guy".
