Absent-minded comment

When my PalmOS device comes with little configurable leg thingies that allow it to follow me around instead of languishing in whatever corner of the living room I dumped it last, its little configurable alarm thingies might do me some good.

And while they're at it, they should develop homing devices for sunglasses and pens.

I was hoping for some sort of clapper on it, something that beeps loudly when I clap twice.

Yeah--I think TV remotes should come with a "locate" beeper like the ones on cordless phones, where you push a button on the base station and the phone beeps from wherever it is in the house.

I've also been known to call my pager and cell phone on the phone in order to find them. This came in really handy the one time my phone fell out of my pocket at a gas station and somebody picked it up.

Richard (http://www.livejournal.com/~wuzzie) has much the same problem. He took his Palm Pilot everywhere for the first couple of months that he had it, then kept leaving it at work when he needed it at home and vice versa, and now it just sits in a drawer - especially now that we have a laptop that works. Hmm. Perhaps I should suggest that he sells it to help pay for the home cinema system he wants? *very evil grin*
