World Series

I'm enjoying some mighty fine baseball.

But even though I'm only listening to the games on the iPad, I'm still tired by the end of them because of all the screaming in the stadium. I guess I won't be going to any games, at least not without earplugs.

Anecdata for you: The ambient noise level in the park tends not to be overwhelming for me. I imagine at least some of that is due to my preference for bleacher seats (not only are they generally cheapest, I don't have to worry about whether or not I'll fit when I sit down, which has been an issue for me in the upper deck seats), so I'm not getting crazy echoes off the concrete. Additionally, the excitement of actually being there tends to buoy me along, as well (though I have crashed HARD on the train home more often than not).

All that said, bringing earplugs (or perhaps noise-canceling headphones plugged into something that lets you listen to Kruk and Kuip?) certainly wouldn't hurt.

I'm really sensitive to noise, but I seem to be okay when I'm at the ballpark. Which is not to say you would be. Maybe because I've been going to ballgames all my life, I've got some sort of strange immunity. Who knows?
