How the heck do you keep on top of Tumblr?

I really like some of the alternative/political stuff being posted on Tumblr, but I find it difficult to keep up with because of the lack of a reading list feature. If you keep up with Tumblr how do you manage it? Bonus points if your answer is something other than "refresh it every 10 minutes all day." :-)

I'm seeing something on tumblr help about secondary blogs, but it says they can't follow other blogs. Do you know if that the same thing that you're talking about, or something different?
