Google gave me a new sign-in page.

I thought it needed editing for clarification.

they keep asking if i want to merge my youtube id. no? ok, we'll ask you again next week.

Yep. I get that nearly every time I sign into you tube.

Yeah, they finally forced me to either merge it or create a separate Google page for it. So I did the latter, but now every time I want to save something on YouTube I have to log into it separately.

Thank goodness I never went in for YouTube. I get annoyed enough every time they ask me to give out my phone number! (Why no, Google, I think I won't jump at the chance to link my various online presences - carefully segregated for good reasons - to a single unique ID number that is also inextricably linked with my RL identity! Sure is strange how often you prompt me to do so, though; but I totally believe your assurances that it's for my sake, 'in case my account is compromised', rather than a piece of data you desperately want for your own records!)

I have an icon for that!

I deleted all my google-related accounts a while back, and while I occasionally miss the YouTube stuff... I'm never really tempted to cave in and sell my soul.
