i found out that my neck was bleeding, reached for a kleenex, spilled my travel mug of hot coffee into my lap, and am now sitting here in soggy pants. the only upside is that they are dark blue. the downside is that i missed a spot in mopping it up and set my arm down into it, and my blouse is not dark blue.
this moment of agreement brought to you by the color seven and the letter apple.
*chuckle* I'm so sorry. But... *chuckle*! Some days are like that. I know, you can make yourself feel better by suing Kleenex for not making their tissues pop up better! (Well, suing the coffee makers is so last year, ya know?)
this is the exact same reaction that my gf had to my predicament. i ask you--what does it take to get a little sympathy--removal of actual skin from said lap? ;-)
in other news, i just looked at your profile to see if i knew you (do you post to soc.bi or anything?) and noticed that you are in san leandro. my gf works for a company in san leandro, albeit from our house in evanston, il, for the last three years or so, and i found myself wondering just how small the world really is....but you don't work for her company. total weirdness narrowly avoided!!!
Nope, don't post to soc.bi. I found your post because I know firecat from a discussion group she and her sweetie used to run. So when I joined LJ recently, she became one of my LJ friends.
For my part, I had surfed over to your journal a while back, because I had wondered if you were the lcohen that I knew. Since he is most definitely a guy, it was clear that it was not so. The world is a wild and wonderful place....
Weird about the company in SL. What company is that? I'm probably going to quit my job (of 14 years!!) in the next couple of weeks, and who knows, maybe I *should* be working for that company? Maybe it's a sign..... ;^)
After a few incidents like that in a morning, I usually get into a headspace of "Let's see how many things I can spill on myself / break / hurt myself with" today.
how do i put this? sometimes i don't need to try to find out "how many things I can spill on myself / break / hurt myself with today"--sometimes the number is made known to me.
