Today's jewelry

This bracelet is going to be a base for a beaded ivy vine. But I liked it by itself so much that I wanted to scan it before I put the leaves on. This time the scan shows some of the brightness of the silver-lined red beads. This is made of peyote stitch and net stitch. It was supposed to have a criss-cross pattern, but I had trouble following the pattern so it's broken in a lot of places. I think it looks good that way, fortunately - it gives a sort of organic randomness effect.

Beautiful! I'm working on a burgundy sweater right now and I was trying different contrasting bead against it and was struck by jow good a certain shade of green looks. I have to fing the right texture and weight of bead though as the sweater is a loose weave but a little nubbly.

It does.

I like the randomness. It's a very pretty piece.

I keep looking at my beads but I just can't get myself motivated. Oh well. I guess I'll just enjoy admiring other folks work.

Yummy. How long did it take you?

By the way, [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy today (I was wearing a new, see-through, beaded blouse and the 3-strand thing you made, which has just enough purple to work with the blouse): [holding me at arm's length] "God, you look so hot. Let me look at you. The choker really does it." :-)

Next time we see [livejournal.com profile] sogwife, I'll take photos. She's got the digicam.

I'm so glad you're having fun with all the beading. It's exciting to watch.
