Columbo was a huge part of my childhood and one of the biggest TV experiences for my parents. He'll be missed a lot.

I'd forgotten he was in that! Yes, there was more to him than Columbo.

He was a fantastic actor, but he'll always loom large in my mind from a childhood spent waiting to watch the next Columbo episode, because he made that character come alive.
