Roundup: Five Figure Fandom Exchange (FFFX) 2021–22

Five Figure Fandom Exchange (FFFX) is, as the name implies, an exchange for fics over 10,000 words, or comics 10 pages or more. It’s one of three exchanges required to qualify for the Triple Crown of 10K exchanges. (The other two are FicInABox and Heart Attack Exchange.)

This year there are currently 210 works in 130 fandoms.

This is the second time I've participated. There's a very long time between assignments and due date, and between due date and reveals. I don't seem to work very well with that, but I'm glad I did the exchange this year.

Five Figure Fandom Exchange is, as the name implies, an exchange for works over 10,000 words. It’s one of three exchanges required to qualify for the Triple Crown of 10K exchanges. (The other two are FicInABox and Heart Attack Exchange.)

I signed up as a pinch hitter and wrote two related works, which I placed in a series:

I’ve written other >10K works, but this pair was the most challenging. I’m happy with what I wrote, though, especially the Sherlock Holmes pastiche. I wanted to try my hand at that because Watson’s is one of the voices that lives in my head. (I’ve been reading the Holmes canon since childhood.)
