I really wish I had room for a dog in my life right now - I'd adopt Winnie on my way home from work today if I did.

She's very cute! Is she intense? Does she bark a lot?

She's very intense, energetic, wants a lot of attention.

At the beginning of class, she was barking when provoked (when another dog barked at her or several dogs started barking at once), but she very quickly learned that barking = unpleasant squirt of water, and by the end of the class she wasn't barking at all. (She is a very smart girl!)

not sure if it's the same reason since i married into having a dog relationship (see userpic). but i looooooove dogs. i hate when they need adoption cause i know our one is enough of a handful without competition so i can't help out but i want all of them to have good homes and families!

That's my dog!! I mean, that looks just like MY dog - buck. Buck is a Lab / border collie mix (could border collie = cattle dog?). Someone asked me once if he had pit bull in him, but when I got him they told me he was lab and border collie.

And I seriously mean that that picture lookes JUST like Buck.

A Border Collie is similar to a Cattle Dog, yeah.

Winnie has sort of a pit bull type body (very muscular, industrial strength springs for back legs -- can jump about 5 feet into the air) and a pit bull personality (very wiggly and cuddly).

But of course the shelter folks just guess at the breed, so, she might well be a Lab and Border Collie mix instead, like Buck.
