There’s lots to like in this temporary ruling, but the bit that makes my geeky soul sing is where the judge bases her ruling in part on the ban violating the Paperwork Reduction Act.

There is something to stopping animus by pointing out that there are still very low bars that have to be cleared as required by law, and that they cannot be ignored. And then going on to explain that there's also animus and other reasons for stopping it from going into effect, but it's kind of like failing someone on a paper because they didn't follow the rules that had been laid out regarding formatting and all of the other technical aspects of the paper, before getting to the content.
