firecat: cat rolling back and forth (rolling cat)

...I woke up in the morning with this phrase in my head, which continues to tickle me:

backbrain of the dead

Is backbrain where the backstory is carried?

It could be a command.

Back, brain of the dead!

Perhaps it's an acronym:

Bay Area Cute Kinksters Behaving Riotously And Instigating Nonsense

(Of course, the "of the dead" part then allows one to lose Purity points. *weg*)

Would the circuit board in a non-functional computer be the backplane of the dead?

That made me think of the "half-life" stuff in "Ubik".

I have to say those are not purity points I particularly want to lose...

Nor I. :)

A Jungian mindfragment just spoke up: "backbrain of the dead" = the unacknowledged shadow (from those people's lives)?

But if one WERE to lose that purity point (or points), this would be a MUCH more acceptable way to go about it!!

It disturbs me, vaguely, that you feel that there is an acceptable way to lose those specific Purity point(s).

Not so much that I'm squicked or anything (YKIOK, I think)...but it certainly wouldn't be my cup of French-Roast. :)

I think perhaps you are taking me more seriously than I meant! Believe me when I say that is NOT my kink. In fact, we've got a CD entitled "Cyborgasm" that I rather like MOST of the cuts on. But there's one that suggests--heavily--that the speaker is having a rather good time with a deceased person (would that make them the Speaker for the Dead??). We had to re-record the CD without that cut.

I'm mostly having a good time with the friendly teasing about it; I didn't figure it was part of your personal practices. :)

(would that make them the Speaker for the Dead??)

*snicker*

(Although, I wonder what [livejournal.com profile] firecat thinks about us having this particular convo in her LJ.)
