Right at this very moment not one, not two, but half a dozen tiny baby sp*d*rs are floating right in front of my computer monitor. I keep looking around for Wilbur.

I had an egg sac hatch in here. There were dozens of baby spiders dangling on threads all over the ceiling. I shut the fuck down and left the room for the night.

I'm not afraid of the babies. I'm only afraid of the adults if they get right in my face. We have an agreement that if they aren't in my face and my partner doesn't see them, I let them alone. As far as my partner is concerned, one planet isn't big enough for the both of them.

But given the HIDEOUSLY high level of mosquitoes this year, I am biting my lips and grinding my teeth, because we need all the help we can get.

You too? Our apartment building is spider heaven, and this year the babies are outdoing themselves. It's disconcerting having them float down toward my plate while I'm eating. Mainly, they seem to have chosen the stovetop as their destination, which seems a very poor choice to me.

Ugh! Almost no mosquitos in the Bay Area, TFG. I had enough of them to last a lifetime when I was living in Michigan, where they are the state bird.

A few years ago, saw a web in the barn with dozens of teeny new-hatched spiders crawling on it. Ran for my camera, but they were too tiny for the camera to focus on them.

Last night, found a spider in the tub; coaxed/scared it onto a tissue and took it outside. "Grow bigger and catch flies!" I don't want them crawling on me, but I'd much rather deal with spiders than with cockroaches. Ugh!
