Writing Rainbow: Silver flash exchange, roundup

Writing Rainbow is a freeform-tag flash exchange that runs several times a year. Each round focuses on a color. You need to use the color name in the title of your fic. Matching is on fandom only. Lots of people specified "Any fandom I've written for" or "Any fandom I've received as a gift" in their signups.

I managed to sneak my signup in at the absolute last minute.

I enjoyed this exchange a lot. My fic received more attention in a shorter amount of time than any fic I've posted so far. Probably because it's a popular pairing. Still, that was very ego-gratifying. :)

Kudos to you! I think we all need those kinds of boosts every now and then if we want to keep ficcing. I don't do exchanges (I do challenges, sometimes, and the occasional bingo) but it sounds like a good premise.

I also liked it because there were no letters. I understand why they're helpful but they kind of drive me nuts.

I don't know if you mean alphabet letters or 'Dear Creator' letters. But I hate Dear Creator letters [even though I logically and rationally understand they serve an important purpose and I don't want anyone to ever get a gift fic which has something they don't want, triggering, unpleasant, or simply undesired]. But everyone sounds like twat in those letters. You can't help it.

I meant Dear Creator letters. I like them because they make it easier to identify requesters whose fic preferences match mine. But I don't like the extent to which they cause me to second-guess what I'm writing for someone. And I don't like how long it takes me to write them, and worrying whether mine should be longer or shorter or have internal links or...
