Elsenet there was a thread where people were trying to explain to each other the appeal of certain unusual kinks. One of the explanations was "[x] and horniness are both very intense feelings and sometimes the wires get crossed."

That also explains why I feel the way I do about good rock guitar solos.

I don't think having such a reaction toward Prince needs an explanation.

I always get distracted by how much Dhani Harrison looks like his dad. But yes, one of the BEST performances of this song.

Sometimes it easy to forget that Prince (among other things) was indeed a ROCK star in the literal sense. I love him. I will always love him.

Edited to add: this also reminds me of a joke in a Veggie Tales song (I don't know if you know them, Christian children's cartoon videos and songs which had vegetables as characters). They did an 80's song and Bob the Tomato says (when the guitar solo starts) says, 'You know, Junior, what was big in the 80's? guitar solos. I'll go get some milk and be back' [to sing the chorus when it's over].

From what I am given to understand, a lot of Prince's guitar solos and performances inspired horniness in their listeners and viewers, so I'm not sure this is a matter of the wires getting crossed so much as it is them working along their intended pathways.

That said, I really enjoy this cover version of the song every time I hear it.

I'm sure we could find plenty of people who wrote about how music these days was all about sex and sexuality and temptation, regardless of what time period we're writing about, but I take your point.
