1. What is your lineage? Where are your ancestors from?
I'm Celtic/Anglo-Saxon/German and know of ancestors from Germany, England, and Wales. There's Pennsylvania Dutch (deutsch), although not Amish per se, on both sides of the family. And there's Welsh in there somewhere on my dad's side (family name Jones).

I have a suspicion that further back there were some ancestors who lived in places with harsh winters, but I don't have any direct evidence for that.

2. Of those countries, which would you most like to visit?
Wales (I visited once, on a motorbus tour with my parents when I was 15).

3. Which would you least like to visit? Why?
Germany by default, because I've been to England and Wales. I prefer traveling where I know the most common language in use by the residents, and I don't know German very well, and I'm not very good at learning languages.

4. Do you do anything during the year to celebrate or recognize your heritage?
I wear a Welsh dragon pendant sometimes and feel especially attached to my Welsh heritage, and also moderately curious about my Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. But I don't do any specific ethnic celebrations.

5. Who were the first ancestors to move to your present country (parents, grandparents, etc)?
My mom has a birth certificate for an ancestor who came over in the late 1600s. My grandmother on my father's side claimed that I'm related to Mary Lyon, the founder of Mt. Holyoke college.
