I learned a long time ago not to call carbonated drinks "pop." But otherwise spot-on.
(Scene: A deli in Connecticut.
Me: [orders sandwich] "...oh, and a pop."
Clerk: "What?"
Me: "Pop."
Clerk: "What?"
Me: "Diet Coke.")
