Roundup: Chocolate Box exchange
21 Feb 2021 04:57 amChocolate Box is a popular exchange with a 300-word minimum and a lot of emphasis on treating (writing extra works for participants you weren't assigned to). This year there were almost 1,100 works in over 500 fandoms.
I wrote three works—one assignment (Hades/Persephone), one pinch hit (Nero Wolfe), and one treat (original work, a smutty fairy tale). They were all reasonably well received, although I think the one with the fewest kudos is the best and vice versa. (But there's no accounting for kudos.)
I received three gifts—one artwork (Babylon 5) and two fics (Miss Marple and "Hotel California")—and I really liked them all.
Looking forward to doing this exchange again.
