...there are probably more of us 'slow and careful' polys out there than any of us suspect, and we do face some unique challenges in navigating the dating pool.... which often SEEMS to be heavily populated by folks splashing wildly in the deep end. We slow pokes, in the shallow end of the pool with our float toys, celebrate our uniqueness here.

I may be a slowpoke about starting relationships, but I'm generally quite happy with quickies once they're started. :)

i just dropped over and read through, and it's making me all teeth gnashy. on the other hand, i am a tad easily irritable about generalizations about being friends with all your exes.

oooh. and i just figured out something else that was irritating me.

my overall worst for values of worst that include therapy and suicidal impulses and etcetera relationship? knew him for three years first. we were friends first. went slow.

my longest lasting and happiest relationship to date? we met in january and i asked him to move in in april. we think it was april, anyhow. it was before easter that year. (he didn't actually move in until summer.)
