[livejournal.com profile] bcholmes wrote a really great post about the history of documentary films.

It provides a new perspective to me on where Michael Moore's films stand in the documentary category. I used to think they aren't really documentaries because they are too manipulative. But it's clear from what [livejournal.com profile] bcholmes says about the history of documentaries that they stand well within the genre.
