a definition of "Chemistry"

I sometimes experience a state of mine where being with a person, or doing a particular thing with a person, feels magickally smooth and easy, like we have an instant, universe-given shared context without having put the work into creating it. It feels like getting away with something.

These are the people you can be comfortably silent with from day one. I completely agree that it's a gift to find them ("gift" = my translation of "getting away w/ something"), because such ease just doesn't happen very often. Certainly not to nervous, awkward sorts. I usually end up falling in love with people I connect to like this--cannot tell if this is wise.

BTW, I enjoy the epigrammatic style of your writing. Brevity is the soul of wit and all. Nothing wasted. That kind of thing. Or maybe you're just in a hurry? *g*

Can't say about that really. I don't get non-handwringing attraction that often. I certainly would love to have a romantic experience where I wasn't second-guessing myself, foot dragging or telling myself "You eeeedeeyot". I guess it would take someone who made me say "I might get hurt, I might be wrong, but it looks good from here, and even if it ends badly, I am making my mind up not to regret this."
