A 5_word_poetry exercise

The community 5_word_poetry posts weekly a set of 5 words and the exercise is to write a poem using all of them.

The word set: circle, schedule, difference, forked (adj.), marvel (v.)


the forked variety
followed by thunder, its faithful dog
and the depradations of falling water
marvel enough
but there is this difference:
a ball of fiery fluff,
acid mist aerosol, plasma
(spinning circle
of ions and electrons)
refuses to yield
her secrets
according to our schedule

I like that - it's funny but the first line immediately made me think of lightening - which is surprising considering it's one small line...

Could have been lightning, a snake tongue, a road, a tree limb...
