Finding a scooter is easier than finding transportation for a scooter. My "chair" is actually a scooter. The style gives me a smaller footprint, so I can ride city buses, but my chair and I weigh a slight bit over 650#, which makes me too heavy for the shuttle provided here.

I've got a bunch of links if you'd like me to share. Kaiser ended up getting me this chair, however. My chair is a Merit's Big Boy.

Still, I do love the idea of a dog-powered scooter. I don't think it would get me where I want to go, though, because my dog seems to have a mind of her own.

I've been thinking of doing something like for the 4 years I've had Petey, who's probably strong enough to pull a small car. I've been trying to teach him mushing commands, but he's too busy following his nose to listen to me. He's a pit bull mix, and I often think what he's mixed with is Bloodhound. Now I've got Lucy, too, and maybe she could be my lead dog. What I'm now considering is an adult tricycle, rather than a scooter.

The links page off of the dogpoweredscooter site has a link to a site with various harnesses for the various dog-powered-sports out there. I'm sure some of the harnesses would be suitable for tricycles.

Yeah, I hear you - what I lust after is the kind of scooter you stand up on, but the kind you sit in is probably more appropriate for me, or will be soon.

Hmm...there seems to be an entrepreneurial opportunity here - for dog trainers who specialize in teaching dogs to pull wheeled vehicles.
