My latest musical discovery (I'm sure it's not new to many of you):

The dilemma:

Whether the genre field in my iTunes database will hold enough characters for me to list all the genres that influence this band.

What are they like/

The genres I've come up with to add to the field so far are rock, reggae, salsa, swing, hip-hop, jazz, and this sort of German music that I think of in connection with Kurt Weill but I can't remember the name of the genre. If you know the Suzanne Vega song "My Favorite Plum," it's that genre. Some other musicians I'm thinking of as I listen are Tom Waits, Bare Naked Ladies, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Little Richard, Squeeze, The Clash, Santana
