Adoptable Cats!

The adoptable cats web page has been updated.

I actually wasn't going to update the page this week, but when I went in to do TLC, the cat named William...well...just insisted.

I had had a really bad day. After some exercise, William began to get tired/frustrated. He recently lost a leg and although he is able to get around, sometimes he stumbles in a backward circle (I guess because he confuses the missing leg with having his leg caught in something).

So I picked him up and we sat in the corner of the room for about 15 minutes while he sucked on my ear and purred.

I think it's immensely cool that you do that. When I get time in my life again (next May, really), I've promised myself volunteer time at either my local humane society or the zoo. (Th zoo may win out, since I'm pretty highly dog allergic, unfortunately, and somewhat cat allergic.)

But I think it's so cool that you've been doing photos and writeups. I keep wanting to go adopt them, except for the few minor problems of having a very one-cat-household feline already, allergy issues, and not that big an apartment. But darnit, I want to.

When I watch Animal Planet I get a real lust to volunteer at the zoo (but it's a long drive so I stick closer to home).

Part of the reason I volunteer at PHS is that I only have 1 cat. I could have more but my partner doesn't really want to and I think it would be kind of mean to suddenly dump more cats on a 15 year old female Siamese.
