The adoptable cat rooms were closed to the public because a cat had died of distemper, a contagious disease. I started taking pictures anyway, and then I was told the rooms were also closed to volunteers.
So instead I got on the computer and checked how many of the kitties on the web page had been adopted.
I'm glad to report that six had been adopted.
Unfortunately, two of them had been euthanized. One was euthanized for lack of space. I couldn't find a reason for the other euthanization, but I know the cat in question had recurring skin problems so I suppose that was why.
I added the cats to my In Memoriam page and to my icon set.
Kind of a poor substitute for their living longer lives, but it lets me pretend that I've done something to remember them, I guess.
