I love this. I don't remember having come across any of the translated-from-Chinese texts that this is supposed to be parodying, but I love it both as parody and as something I would like to see done with every book that assumes cultural knowledge of the setting. Because I love it when subconscious knowledge is brought out for examination.

Heh! Though all the name translations are a little off, as they're much more abstract in English than they are in Chinese.
