OH now knows his cochlear implant surgery will take place no earlier than January 8. We are still waiting for confirmation that insurance has approved it, but having an actual number feels like progress...

I worked with a lady whose son had this surgery done, it kind of gave him fits for a couple of weeks until he managed to figure it all out, I think he had some kind of counselor or therapist who worked with him? He had not really heard though since he'd been a tiny baby so he really don't know what he was doing though. I hope OH has good luck with the insuranc company and the procedure!
