I went to this because I've enjoyed the other Underworld franchise movies, especially the first and third ones (this is the fourth); it was co-written by J. Michael Straczynski (who did Babylon 5); and it had Stephen Rea in it.

Bechdel test: Strong pass
Action: 7 out of 10
Plot: 3 out of 10


Capsule review:
Puberty is a bitch. Sometimes you really want to rip people's heads off.

Plus:
--Two female action stars
--Some enjoyable action sequences.
--Women in leather with big teeth and big guns.

Minus:
--I was disappointed in Rea's character; they didn't let him do what he does best.
--Characters just show up with hardly any introduction or development. It felt like an episode of a TV series that way, where you're supposed to just know who the main characters are and what their agendas are.

Depends on your point of view:
--Death metal
--Tons of gore
--If you like your werewolves pretty and sexy, you won't like the Lycans.
