Photos in the park

I should be working on processing the photos I took in Alaska, but there are 14,000 of them and mine and the OH's are all mixed together. So instead I went to a shoreline park in Alameda with bastette_joyce and a new-to-me camera and took these pix of birds, boats, grass, and freighters.

Sometimes I have a little pity party over my utter lack of artistic talents. I'm practically tone deaf, I have horrid left-right coordination, I have no depth perception, I can't dance or sing, draw or even tell if a picture is hanging level without breaking out a tool.

And many people I know, including one living in my house, take stunningly beautiful pictures.

The best I can manage is to appreciate the art other create and celebrate my talents in other areas.

I have pity parties about this sort of thing too. I have some nutty ideas about what "counts" as creativity I get to feel accomplished about. I have a harder time not believing those ideas than I do some other nutty ideas in my head.
