That's a very good point about the civility.

This situation is breaking my heart, again and again. At one stage, I wanted to write to the member advocate, but her defensiveness in the comments to that post make me feel that she is part of the problem. And I did not expect that at all.

I wish people would stick to outcomes rather than speculating snidely about motives and character, though.

I agree. And I keep telling myself that the inclination to speculate snidely is partly damage from living in a society that encourages mistrust.
