...I thought I'd pass on this from Neil Gaiman's journal (syndicated here at officialgaiman): There is a campaign afoot to rename the Bay Bridge to the Emperor Norton Bridge. Here is a letter from the chair of His Majesty's Bridge Committee. And here is a Farley cartoon about it.

Here is the email I sent:

Dear Dr. Chandler,

I support the campaign to rename the Bay Bridge as the Emperor Norton
Bridge. Let's get it done quickly before some large corporation decides
they want their name on the bridge instead.
