My new fountain

I have had the parts for a couple of years but I only got around to putting it all together today.





I made the bowl myself in a ceramics class I took in New Haven in the mid-80s.

It's full of rocks that I've acquired over the years, also a quartz crystal turtle, a piece of coral, and two geodes.

Very nice! We put together a fountain a few years back in order to give us white noise in our bedroom. When we moved here that wasn't such a problem and the fountain went into the living room. It has since become the cats' drinking fountain, because they won't drink from anything else. Ours isn't nearly as pretty as yours, though!

We have another fountain that we haven't used for a long time, and the cat used to drink out of that. Now she drinks out of the OH's water glass; it's cute to see her with her whole face shoved in it.

LOL. If he has left the glass sitting around and suspects the cat of having sipped from it, he washes and refills it before he drinks from it.

I got a fountain kit for Xmas, but it's not quite satisfactory. I'll have to go get some more goodies to augment it. The geodes are a fine idea, and I have some that are unpolished but look lovely wet.
