Selkie: sad news

The ultrasound they did on Selkie today showed cancer in the pancreas
and lymph nodes. There is no treatment for this, and it progresses
quickly.

For the next couple of days she will be home and on steroid medicine to help
her feel more comfortable.

The vet will be making a house call on Wednesday to put her to sleep.

I don't have any wise words. It's sad and it's hard and you are making a choice that hurts because it's the right thing to do.

I'm sorry for Selkie, and hope her last days with you are as comfortable as possible. I'm sorry for *you* and will be vibing like a mad thing for the next several days.
